- Campus: Lakehead offers much more than just an education, They make it easy for students to get involved in clubs and recreation, to access students supports, to deepen their learning through internships and cooperative education and help them pay for university through their generous scholarship programs. There are many student-run festivals and events like represent your country on Culture Days on campus, planning Chinese New Year Celebrations or taking part on the city's Holi Festival. There are also leadership opportunities that allow students to develop new skills and grow as a person while getting involved in group actives and meaningful projects through the EXCEL Leadership program or by becoming a Global Ambassador or Peer Mentor to a new international student.
- Facilities: Fields and green space surround this campus and all buildings are conveniently located together in one location creating a true campus feel. Many of the University's buildings are grouped around Lake Tamblyn and the residence complexes hug the banks of the McIntyre River. Underground tunnels connect many of the main, centralized buildings on campus, allowing for easy access between classes and facilities. Paved trails surround the campus making it the perfect place to take advantage of taking in the beauty of the area whether you are walking, jogging, rollerblading, bicycling, or, in the winter, cross-country skiing!
- Location: Located on the north-west shore of Lake Superior, the City of Thunder Bay is built around the harbour of the largest inland port in Canada. Under the watchful gaze of the majestic Sleeping Giant, this home for 110,000 people is served by major and regional airlines, bus service, and the Trans-Canada Highway. Year-round, Thunder Bay acts as the centre of a vast recreational and cultural area offering access to a wide variety of sports and activities. With two Alpine and two world-class Nordic ski centres in the area, as well as excellent curling and hockey facilities, and endless outdoor activities like fat biking, ice climbing, dogsledding and ice fishing, winter is no time to hibernate in Thunder Bay. Summer activities include sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing, rock climbing, swimming, jogging, cycling, camping, fishing, hiking and golf which abound in and around numerous lakes in the area. Thunder Bay's famed Sleeping Giant was voted #1, the People's Choice in the Seven Wonders of Canada contest.
