What are the Academic Requirements for Admission?
English short courses (6 months) require least documents. IELTS Academic score of 5.5 and S.S.C along with H.S.C are sufficient. However, bachelor's and master's level courses and programs require a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 to get admission in Master’s program. IELTS is relaxed for those who have studied English Language and Literature (ELL) or English subject from Public or Private Universities or have MBBS Degree from Medical Colleges. And last but not the least students must have Bachelor Degree from reputed University.
When to apply?
Can apply for 2 semesters in Sweden.
- Spring Semester (mid-January to June): Applications for this semester can be made by the end of May. Very few seats use to available in Spring.
- Autumn Semester (1st September to mid-January): Applications for this semester can be made by mid-October. Maximum available seats are available in Autumn/September Intake.
How much will it costs to Study?
- Sociology courses and programs typically cost SEK 80,000-110,000 per year.
- Engineering, science, and computer-related courses or programs typically cost SEK 120,000-145,000 per year.
- Architecture and design-related courses or programs typically cost SEK 190,000-270,000 per year.
Note: 1 Swedish SEK = 9.36 BDT.
How much does it cost to apply?
- Sending all educational documents to Sweden may cost 2000 BDT. However, the amount depends on the weight of the documents and the company you are sending them from.
- An application processing fee of SEK 900 will be charged.
- Tuition fees of the first semester has to be paid if the admission is confirmed in the University.
When to apply for visa?
You are ready for the visa application once the university receives the tuition fees or the soft copy of the tuition fees from the bank. Now you need to apply for the visa.
Required documents to apply for Visa:
- Soft copy of the offer letter from the University.
- Bank Solvency.
- Visa fee (1000 Swedish SEK).
- Tuition fees payment copy.
- Updated Bio Data with full family details.
- Passport.
Note: Visa application in Sweden requires insurance which is provided by the university, so separate insurance is not required.
Required Bank Solvency for getting Visa:
(8010 x 6) = 48060 Swedish SEK will be required to show in the bank for those who come for the 6-month course.
Note: Those who come to study for 1 year, 2 years or more will pay 8010 (per month) Swedish SEK in the bank multiplied by the month according to the year.
Need to bring all the necessary documents and submit the visa application form to the Swedish Embassy.
How to get work permit?
You can apply for work permit after 6 months from your arrival in Sweden. However, in this case you have to complete 30 credits of first semester and find work. Also, every month you have to show 13500 Swedish SEK after tax.
How to get Permanent Residence (PR) in Sweden?
If you apply for a work permit, you will get a 2-year residence permit first. Then Sweden provide additional 2 years Residential Permit. After these 4 years you can apply for Permanent Residence (PR).
